Artist Bio
Lauren Knott graduated with a BFA in studio art and a minor in art history at Colorado Mesa University in 2026. She is a mixed media artist focused on combining printmaking, drawing and fiber arts into a tactile multimedia experience. Her work is mostly informed by her background growing up on the pacific coast. Originally from Southern California, Lauren habitually explored the ocean and participated in aquatic sports in her youth, forming an incredible bond to the element of water. Her work explores the fluid peace of water and offers the audience a space for contemplation. As an undergraduate, Lauren’s work was exhibited in the Art Center of Western Colorado and the 437 Art Gallery in Grand Junction, Colorado. In her last year as an undergraduate, Lauren contributed four works in the 2026 Colorado Mesa Literary Review and worked alongside graduate OT students to create art based on their dissertations. In her time at Colorado Mesa University, Lauren received academic achievements in all years as a student. In her time working at the 437 Art Gallery in Grand Junction, Lauren not only observed great works of art, but learned how to hang up artwork in a gallery. Lauren is constantly curious about art through exploring processes, finding inspiration, and learning new mediums.
